2018 Domaine la Rocaliere Lirac Rouge, Rhone Valley, France

A third each of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. A black, deep purple opaque in appearance. The nose shows medium-intensity aromas of tar, marigolds, chocolate, cold coals and red plum preserve. On the palate it has a medium acidity, is dry, with a medium-plus extract, medium-plus fine tannins and medium-plus body. It continues with a nice length and fruit intensity with gingerbread, chicory root, floral and red plum preserve flavors and closing with a medium-plus warm finish.
